Strategic Priorities and Mandate Execution
Hon. Maina Yaumi has officially assumed duty at the Musa Usman Secretariat following his swearing-in by Governor Babagana Umara Zulum. Addressing directors and departmental heads during his maiden briefing, the Commissioner emphasized strict data integrity, measurable development metrics, and seamless international donor coordination across all 27 Local Government Areas.
"Our ministry is the central nervous system of Borno State's economic transformation," Hon. Yaumi stated. "We must align every policy, multi-year budget roll-out, and statistical baseline directly with the Borno 25-Year Development Framework and our 10-Year Strategic Transformation Plan."
Key focus areas outlined during the briefing include expanding the state statistical system, integrating digital M&E dashboards across core capital projects, and fast-tracking development partnerships with international humanitarian and development agencies.
