The Honourable Commissioner of Planning and Economic Development, Borno State, Hon. (Dr.) Maina Yaumi, was honoured to accept the invitation of the Honourable Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Delta State, to attend the Delta State Economic and Investment Summit 2026 in Asaba.
His participation was driven by two key objectives:
* To undertake a study visit and gain firsthand insight into Delta State's planning framework, institutional structure, and best practices in economic planning and investment promotion; and
* To observe the planning, coordination, and execution of the Summit with the aim of drawing valuable lessons that could support the organization of a similar Economic and Investment Summit in Borno State, should His Excellency deem it appropriate.
The Summit provided an excellent platform for knowledge sharing, strategic engagement, and the exchange of ideas on attracting investment, fostering economic growth, and promoting sustainable development.
Hon. (Dr.) Maina Yaumi commended the Delta State Government for the successful organization of this important event and appreciated the warm hospitality extended to all participants.
The Commissioner reaffirmed Borno State's commitment to leveraging the insights and best practices gained from the Summit to further strengthen the State's economic planning and development agenda.
