1. Borno Social Investment Management Programme (BOSIMP)

Summary

The Borno Social Investment Management Programme (BOSIMP) is responsible for designing and implementing social protection and poverty reduction initiatives that improve the welfare and economic resilience of vulnerable populations across Borno State.

2. State Operations Coordinating Unit (SOCU)

The State Operations Coordinating Unit (SOCU) serves as the coordination hub for multi-sectoral development programmes, ensuring effective implementation, monitoring, and collaboration among government institutions and development partners.

  • Coordinate donor-funded and government development projects.
  • Monitor implementation of programmes across participating MDAs.
  • Ensure compliance with project implementation guidelines.
  • Facilitate collaboration among government agencies and development partners.
  • Track project performance and reporting.
  • Support planning, monitoring, evaluation, and results-based management.

3. State Bureau of Statistics (SBS)

Summary

The State Bureau of Statistics (SBS) is the official agency responsible for producing reliable and timely statistics that support evidence-based planning, policy formulation, monitoring, and sustainable development in Borno State.

Core Focus:
  • Collect, compile, analyze, and disseminate official statistics.
  • Conduct household, economic, agricultural, and demographic surveys.
  • Produce socio-economic indicators for planning and policy formulation.
  • Maintain the State Statistical System.
  • Promote evidence-based planning and decision-making.
  • Coordinate statistical activities across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).
  • Ensure data quality and compliance with national statistical standards.
